What work is judged against

A rubric is the written rules two people read a piece of work against. Every one of them is public, in English and Hindi, and carries a version. A review names the version it was made against, and that version is never edited afterwards.

Rubrics for a kind of work

These read a whole pathway’s kind of work. Their 0, 3 and 5 lines are written by hand.

Rubrics for one work sample

One per quest. Every rule on these is a line out of that quest’s own lessons, so you are never judged against something the lesson did not teach.

Work samples with no rubric, and why

These 4 work samples are worth doing and are not worth pretending to grade. In each one, a rule drawn from the lesson would need the reviewer to know what another named person said or did, and the sample cannot show it. Two reviewers could only ever agree on whether the account is tidy, which is not a judgement about the work.

  1. safety-lead-a-review The sample is a record of a round two other people took part in. A reviewer can see the record, not the round.

    यह नमूना उस दौर का ब्योरा है जिसमें दो और लोग शामिल थे। जाँचने वाला ब्योरा देख सकता है, दौर नहीं।

  2. review-teach-your-block The rule the sample must meet is that the circle agreed these rules together. A reviewer cannot see that agreement.

    नमूने की शर्त यह है कि ये नियम मंडली ने मिलकर तय किए। जाँचने वाला उस सहमति को नहीं देख सकता।

  3. seva-make-it-a-service The sample reports what ten neighbours asked and what they could do a week later. A reviewer can read the report; the week is not in it.

    नमूना बताता है कि दस पड़ोसियों ने क्या पूछा और एक हफ़्ते बाद वे क्या कर पाए। जाँचने वाला ब्योरा पढ़ सकता है; वह हफ़्ता उसमें नहीं है।

  4. ship-one-real-user The sample turns on five lines a native reader corrected. A reviewer cannot see that reader, and may not read the language.

    नमूना उन पाँच पंक्तियों पर टिका है जो किसी मातृभाषी पाठक ने सुधारीं। जाँचने वाला न उस पाठक को देख सकता है, न शायद वह भाषा पढ़ सकता है।
