Stronger approach Before starting, points at the board. Says the address update is free and he takes nothing for it. Names the charge for the letter and waits for her to agree.
Why the stronger approach works One amount at the end hides a charge on a free service, even when nobody meant it to. The board makes that impossible without anybody having to argue.
Try a changed situation A woman offers to pay you for an Aadhaar update because another operator charges her for the same thing. What do you say?
Make something yourself Make the charge board for your own work. List what is free and what you charge for. Then list the services you will never take money for, because they are free.
