You will learn to

Judge a suspicious call, video or work offer by what it demands, and check it on a number you already had.

Why this matters

A voice or a face can now be copied well enough that looking closely proves nothing. What the message wants from you has not changed at all.

Three things to remember

  • Judge the demand: money, an OTP, secrecy, hurry. Not how real it looks.
  • Hang up and call back on a number you already had.
  • Report it on the official cybercrime portal instead of arguing with it.

Task

A video shows a well-known face promising quick earnings from an AI app, and a comment gives a number to join.

Try the judgement yourself

Both answers respond to the task above. One of them does the job better. Which, and why?

Make something yourself

Describe one message, call or video you or your family found suspicious. Write what it demanded, how it created hurry, and the number or office you would check with instead.

A useful starting pointFour things: the demand, the deadline, the secrecy, the number you already trust.
