You will learn to

Decide before you paste what never goes into an assistant, and rewrite a message so it is safe to send.

Why this matters

Anything typed into a chat can be forwarded, screenshotted or left open on a shared phone. The answer is usually just as good without the private parts.

Three things to remember

  • OTPs, bank, card and Aadhaar numbers never go into a chat.
  • Another person's details are not yours to paste.
  • Replace names and numbers with the customer, the amount, the date.

Task

Asking an assistant to explain a hospital bill you cannot read.

Try the judgement yourself

Both answers respond to the task above. One of them does the job better. Which, and why?

Make something yourself

Write your own never-paste list of at least four kinds of detail. Then take one real message you were about to paste and write the safe version of it.

A useful starting pointFour kinds: one-time codes, account numbers, other people, anything you signed.
