Why this matters
A hint that contains the answer ends the task. The learner finishes tonight and still cannot do the next one alone.
Three things to remember
- Give one hint, then stop and let them try again.
- A hint points at the next step; it does not contain the answer.
- Comment on the work, never on the person's ability or worth.
