What an AI assistant actually is
An AI assistant guesses the next likely words. It can sound completely sure and still be completely wrong.

Say in your own words what an assistant is doing when it answers, and decide when that answer needs checking.
Why this matters
People trust a fast, confident answer more than a slow one. Knowing how the answer was made is what lets you decide when to go and check it.
Three things to remember
- Treat every answer as a likely guess, not a looked-up fact.
- Name the one part you cannot confirm on your own.
- Name where you will confirm it: office, shop or official page.
