You will learn to

Apply your own institution's rule to decide what AI help is allowed, what must be disclosed, and what you must write yourself.

Why this matters

The rule that applies to you is the one your college or workplace wrote, and it is usually about the thinking, not about the grammar.

Three things to remember

  • Read your institution's own rule before you decide what to disclose.
  • Never submit a sentence you could not explain if asked.
  • Write one line saying what the assistant did and what you did.

Task

A weekly office report in which the manager asked for your own reading of the figures.

Try the judgement yourself

Both answers respond to the task above. One of them does the job better. Which, and why?

Make something yourself

Name one piece of work you must hand in. Write the rule your college or workplace applies, what you will let the assistant do, and the one line you will disclose.

A useful starting pointFour things: the rule, the allowed help, the part you keep, the disclosure line.
